Project Context

isardSAT is a partner in the MAENA project (Replenishing the sMall wAter cyclE towards a more resilieNt Agriculture), funded by the Interreg NEXT MED programme. The project objective is the restoration of the small water cycle in agriculture through Nature-Based Solutions (NBS).

Job Description

The selected person or company will act as the First Level Controller (FLC) for the verification and certification of isardSAT’s expenditures. The auditor will be responsible for ensuring document control and compliance with the project's financial obligations, in accordance with the programme's regulations and the national control system.

Responsibilities

  • Semiannual Audits: Conduct verification of expenditure justifications from the start date until the project's final closure.
  • Documentary Control: Verification of invoices, payroll, timesheets, and other expenses.
  • Eligibility: Validation of the legality and eligibility of expenses according to the approved budget.
  • Reporting: Issuing the Expenditure Verification Report (EVR) through the official Jems platform.
  • On-the-spot Verification: Performing at least one physical visit to isardSAT’s premises to validate original documentation.

Requirements

  • Auditor registered with the ROAC (Registro Oficial de Auditores de Cuentas).
  • Availability of secure systems for document management and transfer, ensuring data confidentiality and compliance with GDPR regulations.

Experience and Competencies

  • Proven experience in the verification of expenditures and reports related to public funding calls, both at a national level and, specifically, from the European Union (Interreg, ENI CBC Med, or similar).
  • Strong organizational capacity and high attention to detail.
  • High level of responsibility and confidentiality.

Duration and Budget

  • Timeline: Semiannual audits until November 2028.
  • Total Budget: The maximum allocated amount for this task is €3,000 (excluding VAT) for the entire duration of the project.

Languages

  • Fluency in Catalan and Spanish, and an advanced level of English (written and spoken) is required for managing official programme documentation.
